Shower too hot or too cold? Start off hot then run cold or just not work at all. At Transgas Services we work on all different types of showers. Whether that be electric showers, power showers, low/high pressure showers, exposed/concealed showers, digitally controlled showers, thermostatic/non-thermostatic showers, mixer showers or showers that work via an external pump we can assist in all your requirements. If your shower does not have any make/model left on it, or indeed didn’t start off with a make and model on it we can still assist and working with our contacts we can try and source spares for it rather than have no option but to replace it immediately.
Electric showers can be repaired but with an electric shower starting from approx. £85-£90 inc VAT it is usually not worth repairing. As long as the right electric shower (electric and plumbing locations in the same places) is chosen then the cost of replacement is usually more cost efficient. Transgas Services can make sure the right one is sourced so costs kept to a minimum.
Digitally controlled showers can be digitally controlled from a processing unit or they can be from your smart phone. Transgas Services has experiences of working with both types. From the repair to the installation of them we would be able to assist with your requirements.
Thermostatic/non thermostatic showers are usually simple showers and one you have to mix the temperature via the taps on off valve and the other you mix the temperature via the thermostatic cartridge lever. Most common fault is the thermostatic cartridge failing or the washers/cartridge failing so it is constantly dripping. We can repair all problems.

Mixer showers usually have a fixed head and then a separate portable shower head. We can repair, install or service all makes/models. Sometimes it is a bath/shower mixer and again we can repair, service or replace as required.
Pumped showers work off an external pump that can be usually installed in the airing cupboard, under the bath or in the loft. Many times we find these pumps not installed as per the manufacturer’s instructions which causes premature failure. We can advise on repairs, bringing the installation up to standard, along with alternatives to pumps being used.
